The automobile was invented in 1885. Since then, it's come a long way and so has the automotive industry's supply chain technology. In the early 1990s, the Automotive Network Exchange (ANX) was developed by the Automotive Industry Action Group (AIAG) to develop a secure and standardized method for automakers and suppliers to exchange electronic documents.
