Softshare Vista™ Professional's Résumé Now Includes Out-of-the-Box Accounting Application Integration

Softshare Vista Professional, a desktop EDI application, expands its suite of features to include direct database integration with QuickBooks® and other popular accounting applications

Santa Barbara, CA—October 7, 2003— Softshare Inc., a provider of EDI products and services, announced today that it will begin offering a custom Application Integration Component to its Vista Professional desktop clients. This plug-in component provides direct database integration of EDI purchase orders and invoices with back-end accounting applications.

"Although we have a data translator on the market [Softshare Delta] that lets clients map their own integration solutions, we thought it was important to offer an out-of-the-box integration solution as well," said Robert Fox, senior developer of the Softshare Vista Application Integration Component. "Most of our Vista clients are not mapping experts—nor do they want to be—and that's who we're catering to with this solution."

The first Application Integration Component being released by Softshare is designed for use with QuickBooks. Available for $995, this custom component provides everything a user needs to exchange purchase orders and invoices with an EDI trading partner and seamlessly integrate those documents with QuickBooks. Components for other leading accounting applications will be developed as demand dictates.
