For Softshare Clients, EDI Integration with SAP Just Got Easier

As an add-on component for Softshare Delta, this bridge significantly reduces the amount of time it takes to set up and maintain an EDI integration solution with SAP.

Santa Barbara, US / Amsterdam, NL.—December 3, 2007—Softshare, a provider of e-commerce products and services since 1982, released today its Integration Bridge for SAP. As an add-on component for Softshare Delta and Softshare ECS, this bridge significantly reduces the amount of time it takes to set up and maintain an EDI integration solution with SAP.

The Integration Bridge for SAP has three main functions. Its IDoc Modeler utility dynamically retrieves IDoc layouts from the SAP R/3 server and models them, down to the last detail, in Softshare Delta, Softshare's data translator. Nine sample maps illustrate how to map to and from the SAP IDoc formats within the context of real-world EDI business scenarios. And last, but not least, a custom SAP output queue in Softshare ECS, Softshare's e-commerce communications server, initiates direct data integration with one or more SAP R/3 servers.

The Integration Bridge for SAP is part of Softshare's new Bridge the Gap suite of ERP application bridges. In addition to SAP, Softshare also released today a bridge for Epicor Vantage, with a bridge for Oracle to follow in January.

About Softshare Delta and Softshare ECS
While Softshare Delta, our data translator, and Softshare ECS, our e-commerce communications server, can be run as stand-alone applications, they are most typically run in tandem for total enterprise integration. In this capacity, Softshare Delta translates the data that Softshare ECS passes to it, then delivers it back to ECS for further routing.
