Softshare Releases 6.0 Version of EDI Notepad

Softshare's free EDI editing utility features several new enhancements—and it's still free!

Santa Barbara, US—February 22, 2010—Softshare officially released a new version of its EDI editing utility, Softshare EDI Notepad, today. Downloaded by more than 50,000 people around the world, EDI Notepad has become the de facto standard for EDI editing.

The original impetus for the new 6.0 version was the need to incorporate the recent ANSI X12 6020 dictionary into the product, but Softshare took the opportunity to give EDI Notepad 6.0 several other enhancements as well. The most obvious enhancement is EDI Notepad's new tabbed multi-document interface, which provides for easier navigation among several open documents. Other notable enhancements include hex view highlighting and the optional addition of line breaks in the text view.
