Dear Softshare Vista User,
On the last day of 2010, Softshare will officially retire Softshare Vista.
We apologize for any inconvenience this causes you, and we know Vista will be missed, but for some of you, Vista's retirement presents an excellent opportunity to take your EDI operations to the next level: integration with your back-end systems.
If it's becoming tedious for you to manually rekey data between Vista and other areas of your enterprise due to high volumes of EDI documents, the time is right to consider Softshare's EDI integration solutions. Here's how integration differs from your current operations:
- You would still connect to Softshare's VAN (or directly with your trading partners if you'd like to avoid VAN charges) to receive EDI documents
- But instead of viewing and rekeying those documents from Vista, they are passed onto data translation maps that automatically transform the received EDI data into formats recognized by your back-end systems
- When it's time to generate EDI documents for your trading partners, rather than manually creating them in Vista, scheduled maps automatically transform the data that resides in your back-end systems into EDI documents
- These newly-created EDI documents are then delivered to your trading partners
The initial configuration of an integration solution, which consists of Softshare Delta and Softshare ECS, requires an up-front investment of time and IT resources. But when dealing with high volumes of EDI traffic, this investment quickly pays for itself through faster data processing, fewer data errors, and a significant reduction in human intervention.
And Softshare is here to help! For any Vista user considering taking their EDI operations to the next level, we'll provide free pre-sale consulting to help determine the resources required to implement an integrated solution, as well as the best way to go about it.
Contact us today to upgrade to Softshare Delta and Softshare ECS. Then, start thinking about all the new ways you can integrate your enterprise!
Best regards,
