In July of 2008, Softshare established an RSS feed. Its purpose is to keep Softshare clients, resellers, and other interested parties abreast of Softshare news, upcoming events, new product builds, and helpful resources.
According to Wikipedia, RSS is a family of Web feed formats used to publish frequently updated works such as blog entries, news headlines, audio, and video in a standardized format. An RSS feed (also called a Web feed) includes full or summarized text plus metadata such as publishing dates and authorship. RSS feeds are a convenient way to quickly broadcast information to a target audience. And because RSS feeds are compiled in a standardized XML format, a wide variety of software applications, called RSS readers or RSS aggregators, can be used to subscribe to and monitor RSS feeds. RSS readers can be web-based services accessed through your browser or stand-alone clients which allow you to access your feeds even if you’re offline.
By definition, Softshare’s RSS feed can be accessed through any third-party RSS reader. In addition, both Softshare Delta and WebECS (via their main Welcome pages) provide portals to Softshare’s RSS feed so that users of these applications have up-to-the-minute access to information specific to their Softshare solutions.
