On the very last day of 2010, Softshare will officially retire Softshare Vista. After many years of devoted service, Vista is well deserving of a relaxing retirement. If you’re a Vista user, don’t worry, your EDI operations will remain in good hands. Softshare has two great upgrade options for you to choose from when the time comes to bid Vista farewell:
If you’re running Vista as a communications module for Softshare Delta, you’ll want to upgrade to ECS Lite. ECS Lite is well suited for interacting with Delta. In fact, ECS Lite provides much better visibility and control over data flow and exception handling than Vista does. To find detailed pricing and features for Softshare ECS, visit our ECS Web pages.
If you’re using Vista’s forms-based technology to view and create EDI documents, you’ll want to upgrade to Athena, our Web EDI solution. Athena offers the same attractive forms-based templates that you see in Vista as well as other identical features such as management reports, duplicate tracking, and automated acknowledgment generation. And because Athena is Web based, which is a superior platform for multi-user access and software management, you may even discover that you prefer Athena to Vista! To find detailed pricing and features for Softshare Athena, visit our Athena Web pages.
Although we won’t officially retire Softshare Vista until 2011, it has already been sunsetted. This means that Softshare is no longer updating the product. In addition, at the end of 2009, Softshare will discontinue the development and modification of Vista trading partner kits (TPKs).
