Softshare Synergy is a collection of software and services designed to help you roll out your EDI or XML program to your trading partner community. From our Synergy menu, you can choose from a variety of rollout services such as rollout management, trading partner training, and compliance testing. And from our suite of software applications, your trading partners can choose the software solution that is right for them.

Rollout Management

Coordinating the EDI rollout activities of a large company is no easy task. That's where Softshare comes in. We'll take the burden off your shoulders by managing any or all facets of your rollout program, including informing your trading partners of your rollout initiative, following up with your trading partners, and performing compliance testing. In addition, Softshare will educate your trading partners on every aspect of your rollout initiative, saving you considerable time in trading partner support. As all these events unfold, you'll receive regular status reports highlighting your trading partners' progress.

Scalable EDI Solutions

From Web-based to desktop to server applications, Softshare has EDI solutions for every member of your trading partner community, regardless of their IT sophistication level. If you're interested, we even have a solution for trading partner hubs, allowing you to be your own VAN.

Custom Forms-Based Templates

To ensure full compliance with your EDI program, Softshare will supply each of your trading partners with a plug-in template, also known as a Softshare trading partner kit (TPK), that is tailored to your implementation conventions. Used in Softshare Athena, this template walks your trading partners through the creation of an EDI document. Whether your trading partners are creating an EDI document from scratch or replying to one that you have sent, they are always prompted for the exact information your business model requires. Softshare has written TPKs for hundreds of businesses.

Custom Training

Custom templates require custom training. In addition to fully training your trading partners on our EDI software, Softshare will also train them on the specifics of your EDI program such as which business transactions are required and the business rules that apply to each transaction.

Compliance Testing

Softshare schedules and coordinates all aspects of preproduction testing between you and your trading partners. After completing your specific testing requirements, you can rest assured that your trading partners are sending compliant EDI transactions.

Trading Partner Education

Softshare offers continuing e-commerce education for your trading partners. They can attend Softshare User's Conferences where EDI and XML trends and tactics are discussed or participate in more specialized classes that offer advanced insight into Softshare's EDI software.

Flexible Communications

Easy-to-use software is only half of the equation. Softshare maintains its own Internet-based VAN (value-added network) to handle your trading partners' EDI traffic. If you have your own private network established, Softshare's network will communicate directly with your network using communications protocols such as SMTP/POP3, HTTP, or FTP. Or, if you are using a third-party VAN, Softshare's network will interconnect with your VAN. Softshare supports interconnects for all major VANs so your trading partners are free to establish as many EDI relationships as necessary via our network.
